Privacy Policy
How we handle personal information. Last updated 12 June 2026.
This is a plain-English summary of how FactoryMate handles personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
Who we are
FactoryMate is a web app for Australian custom manufacturers and made-to-order fabrication shops — it runs a job from the office to handover. If you have any privacy question, email [email protected].
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email, business name and anything you tell us about your shop.
- When you use the product: account details and the business data your team enters (jobs, customers, photos, documents). This is your data; you control it.
- Site analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used — which pages are visited, rough location and device, and (via Clarity) anonymised interaction recordings such as clicks and scrolls to find usability problems. These tools set cookies and send usage data to Google and Microsoft. We use it only to improve the site, not for advertising.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and run your demo.
- To provide, support and improve the product.
- To send service messages about your account. Any marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run FactoryMate (such as hosting), and where required by law. Each customer’s product data is kept in its own isolated tenant.
Your data and your rights
You can access or correct your information, ask us to delete it, or export your product data, by emailing [email protected]. On cancellation we provide a full export of your data and files on request.
